Quality Gates are, as the name suggests, "gates" or checkpoints that are planned and carried out at a specific time. The goal is to check the status and content of a delivery object, based on quality criteria determined in advance.
For reporting, SAP is currently working on an expanded option to make "Quality Gate Reporting" even more efficient and effective. So it will be interesting to see what will follow. We have already been able to place some of our requirements and wishes for SAP.

Now let's look at the options that are already available and can be used in SAP Cloud ALM.
In SAP Cloud ALM, the Quality Gates are prominently listed on the project overview page with the associated progress status.

New Quality Gates can be created, edited and evaluated using the "Quality Gates" app.

All Quality Gates are listed in the list view and you can filter by them.

There is also the option of displaying the Quality Gates graphically on the timeline in a Gantt Chart.

In the detailed view of a Quality Gate you will find a "checklist" in which the relevant checkpoints are listed. These checkpoints must be checked and approved at the appropriate time.
