To connect SAP Cloud for Customers (Sales Cloud) with SAP Datasphere or SAP Analytics Cloud, there are two options available. Use remote tables or load data via Data Flows.
With data flows you might have less options, that is why we recommend to use remote tables.
1. Option with remote tables
Create a new connection with the connection type “Generic OData”.
Insert the following information:
URL https://MYXXXXX.crm.ondemand.com/sap/c4c/odata/v1/c4codataapi/
Version: V2
Use Cloud Connector: false
Authentication Type: User Name and Password
User Name: Business User
Password: Business User Password
User Name and Password are from a C4C Business User Credentials that are used to log into C4C.
Next, you need to upload the certificates. Go to you C4C instance.
You don’t need to log on. Click on the sign next to the URL. A field will open up where you will click on “Secutity is safe”.
Choose the following option to open the certificates
Afterwards, a pop up will appear. Navigate to details and download all three certificates.
Upload these certificates within SAP Datasphere by clicking on “I” in the bottom corner and going to “Configuration”. Choose the Tab Security and upload them under SSL/TLS Certificates.
You can now use remote tables.
2. Option with Data Flows for specific Data
For Leads: https://myXXXXX.crm.ondemand.com/sap/c4c/odata/analytics/ds/Codmkleah.svc
For Masterdata:
https://myXXXXX.crm.ondemand.com/sap/c4c/odata/analytics/ds/Codcustomer.svc
For Opportunities:
https://myXXXXX.crm.ondemand.com/sap/c4c/odata/analytics/ds/Codopph.svc
You will do all steps like for the remote tables: except for using the Business User.
For user name and password, you will have to create an “Communication Agreement” within SAP C4C and use these credentials. There won’t be too many screenshots, since the UI is in German.
Go to SAP C4C and under Administration and General Settings you will find “Communication Agreement”.
First you choose “Communication Systems”
You will then create your new communication system. The Hostname has to be the URL of the C4C and the access should be internet. Set this communication system to “active”.
Then go to communication agreement and create a new agreement for you newly created system. Under the tab technical data you can than find the technical name and set the password. Use these credentials for SAP Datasphere.
You will now be able to use data flows.
